BADA COVID-19 UPDATE: SUMMER 2020 PROGRAMS CANCELLED
After careful consideration, reviewing advice from the UK and US governments, and consultation with our institutional partners, BADA has decided to cancel our 2020 Midsummer in Oxford and Midsummer Conservatory Programs due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Everyone at BADA is deeply saddened by the necessity of this decision; Midsummer in Oxford has run every summer since 1984 and BADA has offered a summer intensive for high school students annually since 2002. We are incredibly disappointed not to be able to welcome the diverse and talented actors who applied to join us in Oxford; we so look forward to next summer when we can once more welcome participants to our programs in Oxford.
In her note to admitted Midsummer in Oxford applicants, Dean Eunice Roberts said:
“It is with great sadness that BADA, in association with Yale School of Drama, has to announce the cancellation of the Midsummer in Oxford Program this summer at Magdalen College. Our main concern is for the safety and well-being of all our students, faculty and staff. I have so enjoyed watching your auditions, either in person or online and thank you so much for your interest in the program.
Everyone at BADA sends you our best wishes. Take care and stay safe.”
BADA continues to prepare to welcome students for the Fall 2020 semester-long London Theatre Program at our magnificent home overlooking Regent’s Park.
