You’ll investigate the cultural, social and political context of ancient Athens, and the many meanings of Greek drama today\. Participants will spend the first ten days of the programme at BADA’s home in London, followed by ten days in Greece and returning to the UK for a week’s residency in Oxford, working with leading British and European teaching artists and theatre\-makers throughout\.
- [Black British Theatre \& Performance Programme](https://www.bada.org.uk/program/black-british-theatre-performance-program/): Explore the social, cultural, intellectual and political developments that have come to define the theory, practice and aesthetics of Black British theatre and its practitioners\. Based at BADA’s home in London’s Camden Town, you’ll work with key texts that dramatise the Black British experience and identify their dramaturgical and aesthetic underpinnings\. Participants will visit historic and cultural sites, theatres and performances to support their understanding of the Black British theatre ecology, along with taking part in workshops, masterclasses and conversations with leading writers, actors, and directors\.
- [Midsummer in Oxford Programme](https://www.bada.org.uk/program/midsummer-oxford-program/): An intensive, four\-week advanced\-level conservatory acting programme focusing on Shakespeare and classical drama, hosted by Oxford University’s beautiful and historic Magdalen College, now in its 42nd year\. The programme is open to actors over age 18 at both undergraduate and graduate levels as well as professional actors, and includes around 30 hours a week of small\-group instruction, theatre trips and masterclasses\. The internationally\-acclaimed faculty consists of leading British, European and American teaching artists and theatre\-makers\.
