Philip d’Orléans is a member of the Equity Register of Fight Directors with twenty five years of professional experience. He has worked all over the UK, Europe and in the US, and has been the Physical Skills instructor at RADA for twenty one years. He is a fight test examiner with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, Stage Combat Deutschland and the Irish Dramatic Combat Academy.
He is also the author of Unarmed Stage Combat published December 2020 by Crowood Press.
As an Equity Register fight director Philip has worked with a variety of companies including the RSC, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Royal Opera House, the Korea National Opera, the Royal Court, the Greek National Opera, the Norwegian National Theatre, the New Vic Theatre, Nuffield Theatre Southampton, Wyndham’s Theatre, the Mercury Theatre, the Aldwych Theatre, the Theatre Royal York, Vienna English Theatre, Guildford Shakespeare Company, Buxton Opera Festival and many others.
Philip’s screen work includes films for Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures, documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4 and a drama series for Netflix.
