Christopher Sivertsen trained as an actor with Teatr Pieśn Kozła (Song of the Goat Theatre) in Poland, where he was a company member between 2000 and 2015. During this period, he also completed an MA in Acting at Manchester Metropolitan University, graduating with distinction. With Song of the Goat, he performed internationally, including at the Barbican, RSC Stratford, Sydney Opera House, La MaMa New York and the Edinburgh Festival, in productions that received a Fringe First, The Harold Angel Award and The Guardian Best International Show. 

Christopher was the founder and Artistic Director of Awake Projects until 2019, a UN-certified company and recipient of the Nordic Fringe Network Ambassadors award. His directing credits include Song of Riots (The North Wall Oxford/Battersea Arts Centre), O Réjane (Bootleg Theatre Los Angeles), AWAKE (Edinburgh Fringe) and Agamemnon(Italia Conti). He has also directed for Kiln Theatre London, Tou Scene Norway, and The North Wall Oxford, and worked on Jenufa (Arcola Theatre) and Bird of Night (Royal Opera House Covent Garden). 

He teaches and leads workshops internationally and has held positions at RADA, Rose Bruford, Drama Studio London, RSAMD Glasgow, MMU Manchester, RESAD Madrid, SITI New York, KHIO Oslo, the Centre of Performing Arts Beijing, Royal Central, and Italia Conti, where he is Course Leader of the MA in Physical Performance Practices and Head of the Physical Performance Department. 

His screen work includes the award-winning Norwegian TV series State of Happiness (Cannes, BBC) and the feature film Monster Thursday (Sundance selection).
