Doug Paulson (he/them/Doug’s) is a Professor of Voice/Speech at the Experimental Theater Wing at NYU’s Tisch Drama. He is an actor, director, writer, singer, musician, composer, sound designer, certified Soundpainter, dialect/speech/voice coach, and educator. Doug’s work focuses on enabling and empowering individuals to express fully and whole-heartedly with confidence, clarity, intention, specificity, and skill. Doug has directed and coached numerous productions in NYC and abroad for ETW, Tisch Drama, Vassar College, RADA, RCSSD, Atlantic Theater Co., Playwrights Horizons, NYSAF, LaMama and others. Doug has been a soloist for both the London Gay Men’s Chorus (Roundhouse, Cadogen Hall, Hackney Empire) and the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus (Carnegie Hall, MSG, Barclays Center, NYSE) and has acted on stage and film in NYC, regionally, and abroad.
