Ezra Baudou is a dramaturg, performer and researcher working between France and the UK. Their practice spans devised performances (2024: n degré de liberté, dir. T. Barès – in itinere collectif), adaptation processes (2023: Dans une sorte de desert, dir. Q. Rioual – oaqi) and the staging of both classic and contemporary texts (2021: Twelfth Night, dir. S. Levitte; Only the end of the world, dir. F. Bloc – théâtre du héron). Since 2025, they have coproduced and hosted the queer cabaret night @emergencycabaret. They have also taught performance in various universities and drama schools (Paris Nanterre University, CRR de Paris, University of Oxford, University of Reading, University of Lincoln). Their approach to performance-making is rooted in queer and decolonial practice.

Their academic work focuses on the reception of ancient materials (myths, concepts, plays) on contemporary stages and they study how classical texts contribute to the building/undermining of contemporary identities when represented in performance.
