After working as an actor in the Irish Theatre, Robert trained as a voice and text teacher at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
He has worked at many British and Irish Drama Schools including Rada, where he held the senior position in voice, and Lamda where he worked as a director. He has also taught at Arts Ed, East 15, Central, Rose Bruford and East 15 moving between voice teaching, acting teaching and directing. He was part of a small Rada team tasked with establishing Dublin’s Lir Academy.
Robert currently divides his time between teaching and working as a manual therapist with London’s Voice Care Centre, a multidisciplinary team working with complex voice problems in professional actors and singers.
