Spanish Theatre Programme

8 June – 6 July

The Spanish Theatre Programme (STP) is BADA’s month-long summer programme dedicated to Hispanic classical theatre. Based in London and in Spain (Seville, Granada and Almagro), the programme combines seminars, site visits and studio-based practical sessions exploring the performance, reception and translation of Spanish-language theatre plays from the Golden Age to Lorca. The programme will be delivered in English; Spanish proficiency is not required.

Black British Theatre and Performance Programme

29 May – 26 June

BADA’s four-week Black British Theatre & Performance Programme (BBTAP) provides an overview of contemporary Black British theatre and performance.
Play texts by major Black British writers such as Roy Williams, Winsome Pinnock and debbie tucker green, will be explored from theatrical, social and cultural contexts framed by theories of identity, representation, nationalism, race, gender, sexuality and class.

Greek Theatre Programme

29 May – 26th June

The Greek Theatre Programme (GTP) is BADA’s month-long summer programme dedicated to classical Greek drama. Based in the UK (London and Oxford) and in Greece (Athens, Delphi, Nafplio, Argos and Epidavros), the programme combines seminars, site visits and studio-based practical sessions exploring the performance and reception of Ancient Greek plays from antiquity to the present day.
