AMERICAN THEATRE WING’S ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP

We’re thrilled to encourage eligible students to apply for the 2020 Andrew Lloyd Webber Training Scholarship from the American Theatre Wing. Previous recipients of the Scholarship have used the award towards attending our Midsummer Conservatory Program!

Calling all Public Middle and High School students who come from populations historically underrepresented in our industry, demonstrate talent and ability in the theatre arts, but have a lack of economic resources to receive high level training prior to college. The student’s area of focus can be from any aspect of theatre from performance, to design, to writing, to stage management.

The American Theatre Wing (Founder of the Tony Awards®) is offering students the opportunity to receive funding to attend the summer theatre training program of their dreams through the 2020 Andrew Lloyd Webber Training Scholarships.

A Training Scholarship can cover the cost of tuition, room and board, and admin fees of a summer study or after school training program that you must separately apply to. This scholarship is a great way for you to continue your theatre training and build upon your talent and potential outside the classroom!

Training Scholarships can be used for:

  • After School training programs that stand alone or are housed in professional theatre settings
  • Summer Study theatre training camps or programs

Your area of focus can be from any aspect of theatre, from acting to stage management, and everything in between.

The American Theatre Wing is willing to provide you with a deadline extension of Friday, January 31st at 11:59PM Eastern Standard Time in order to complete this application. Act quickly and don’t wait until the last minute to get to work. They’re rooting for you!!
