JOBS

We are currently seeking applicants for the following positions:

Development Manager

  • The British American Drama Academy (BADA) is seeking an experienced, individually motived fundraising professional who thrives on working independently both administratively and in frontline fundraising to lead institutional strategy and day-to-day operations to grow and strengthen the organization’s fundraising activity.

    Purpose of the Job

Joining BADA’s Team presents a unique opportunity to ambitiously shape a sole fundraising position at an internationally renowned drama school to support a diverse body of talented students and the future of theatre education. This new role is being established following an extensive strategic plan to reconnect with BADA’s community following covid, and to establish a more formal fundraising and alumni relations function for the organization.

You will have experience of working in a development function and are now ready to take initiative in shaping both institutional strategy and day-to-day operations to grow and strengthen the organization’s fundraising. Your passion for the performing arts and dedication to nurturing the next generation of theatre practitioners will be instrumental in upholding BADA’s mission and expanding its impact on the global stage.

In taking on this position, you will play a pivotal role in continuing the momentum gained over the past few years and particularly from BADA’s 40th Anniversary activities in 2024 that took place in the UK and the US. A top priority of this was the reinvigoration of the American friends of BADA Board (AFBADA) based in the United States, in order to reinforce its mission to secure funding to support BADA and its students.

Earlier this year, the BADA Studio was launched in New York, to provide regular, ongoing access to industry professionals, masterclasses and professional development programs for BADA alumni and extended community. This will be a further opportunity for the Development Manager to engage with and steward donors and prospects. A minimum of one annual trip to the Unites States is expected of the post holder, as well as developing and hosting donor engagement opportunities at BADA’s programmes in London and Oxford.

If you’re passionate about arts education and looking for a meaningful and rewarding way to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
