Finance Director

  • BADA is seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Director to oversee all aspects of BADA’s financial operations.

    Purpose of the Job

    To ensure sound financial control and effective management of BADA’s resources and reserves and compliance with relevant statutory regulations. The Finance Director works closely with the Executive of BADA (Dean and Managing Director) and provides financial guidance to the Executive and the Board of Trustees to ensure that BADA’s financial commitments are met.

    The role of Finance Director encompasses a wide remit including day to day accounting, financial reports, payroll (including contracts and pensions), premises rental and statutory reporting duties. The Finance Director works closely with the Executive to ensure sound financial management in BADA’s day-to-day operations and strategic aims. The successful applicant will enjoy a varied position that requires engaging across all levels of the organisation as well with external entities and partner institutions both in the UK and abroad.

    The position is part time, 4 days a week. Flexible hours and partial remote working possible.

    Essential Experience

    Qualified ACA or ACCA.

    The British American Drama Academy (BADA) was founded in 1984 to enable students from across the world to study classical theatre with leading actors and theatre-makers of the British and European stage. BADA aims to provide exceptional, rigorous and immersive theatre training across a range of courses for students aged 16-18; undergraduates studying abroad as part of their Bachelor’s degree, and life-long learners.

    BADA is a well-established, small, rigorous and inclusive theatre training community.     Salary and Benefits

    • Salary: pro rata of £57,000 – £63,000
    • Pro rata of 28 days’ leave (incl. Bank Holidays) plus Winter closure
    • Pension Scheme

Administrative & Media Assistant

  • BADA is seeking to appoint an Administrative & Media Assistant to support the successful running of our programmes in London and Oxford, the efficient running of the BADA office, and the delivery of BADA’s media presence.

    The British American Drama Academy (BADA) was founded in 1984 to enable students from across the world to study classical theatre with leading actors and theatre-makers of the British and European stage. BADA aims to provide exceptional, rigorous and immersive theatre training across a range of courses for students aged 16-18; undergraduates studying abroad as part of their Bachelor’s degree, and life-long learners.

    The primary purpose of the role of Administrative & Media Assistant is to support the successful running of BADA’s programmes in London and Oxford, the efficient running of the BADA office, and the delivery of BADA’s media presence.

    The position’s responsibilities include: providing administrative support to all colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the BADA office in London and Oxford; providing day-to-day programme support as well as supporting students attending BADA’s programmes, and supporting the successful delivery of BADA’s social media initiatives, including creating and co-ordinating written content, photos and videos for BADA’s social media channels, blog and marketing emails.

    The role is predominantly based in London. However, the Administrative & Media Assistant is resident in college at Oxford full time for the (overlapping) four and a half weeks of both of BADA’s summer programmes in Oxford. Accommodation and meals are paid for by BADA.
