From London city centre there are regular buses to Oxford, departing from Victoria Station, and trains, which leave from Paddington Station.
Buses from Victoria Station are operated by Oxford Tube. Please check their website for current fares and schedules. Buses stop in the High Street, opposite Queen’s College, four minutes’ walk from Magdalen College (see map above). Journey time is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
The nearest bus stop to Magdalen is “High Street/Queens Lane” (marked on the map below) and is a 3-4 minute walk to the entrance of the college.
The Oxford Bus Station is at Gloucester Green. A taxi from Gloucester Green to Magdalen costs between £5 – £8, or the walk to Magdalen takes roughly 20 minutes.
Trains run from London Paddington (journey time 1 hour) and from Birmingham (journey time 1 hour 30 minutes). See National Rail for current schedules and fares. The walk to Magdalen from the Oxford station is approximately 25 minutes.

From the High Street/Queen’s Lane bus stop (which you will also pass if coming from either the Gloucester Green Bus Station or the Oxford train station), proceed towards Magdalen Tower, one of the most recognizable structures in all of Oxford.
You must enter Magdalen College via the Porter’s Lodge which is about 50 meters from the base of the Tower. The Porter’s Lodge entrance is just past the large gate when coming from the bus stop — before you reach the Tower or the Magdalen Bridge.
After you pass through the Porter’s Lodge (circled in black on the Map of Magdalen College below), you will be met in St John’s Quad (circled in red) by a member of the BADA team who will direct you to the next performance location. Click the map to enlarge.
