PRESS: CHADWICK BOSEMAN’S (MIO ’98) WIDOW ON GRIEVING AND “DEEP AZURE” AT SHAKESPEARE’S GLOBE
The Guardian‘s JN Benjamin recently interviewed Chadwick Boseman’s (MIO ’98) widow, Simone Ledward Boseman, about his legacy, the revival of Deep Azure at Shakespeare’s Globe — directed by Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu — and Chadwick’s connections to the UK:
Fynn-Aiduenu also found out that Boseman had strong links not only to the UK theatre scene, but also to Shakespeare specifically. He studied the Bard at Balliol College, Oxford, with the British American Drama Academy – paid for by Denzel Washington – an opportunity facilitated by the actor Phylicia Rashad, who was a teacher and mentor to Boseman during his time at Howard.
