ANDREW HUDSON

Andrew is Director of Courses at Laine Theatre Arts and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing the academic integrity, curriculum design and assessment framework of the college’s higher education provision. He recently authored Laine’s new BA (Hons) Musical Theatre degree and played a key role in securing the college’s registration with the Office for Students. Alongside his leadership responsibilities, he continues to guest lecture, specialising in commercial theatre production, casting practices and choreographic plagiarism.

Before working in higher education, Andrew spent several years in commercial theatre casting, contributing to major West End and touring productions including War Horse, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The Lion King, Aladdin, Dear Evan Hansen, Hairspray and Jersey Boys. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he co-created a widely used online audition guide for emerging performers, featuring insights from leading West End and Broadway creatives.
